The most important international meeting and congress of mountain professionals of South America’s will have a new version, but this time it will be 100% virtual, thus becoming the only platform that will bring the sector together this year from 2 to 5 November. Expo Andes Connect aims to continue to link the industry to enable knowledge transfer, sharing of ideas, experiences and especially technological innovation in products and services through its more than 70 exhibiting companies. With its new platform, Expo Andes Connect will keep connected mountain professionals where there will be networking space between exhibitors and visitors with the possibility to schedule business meetings. There will also be an open-source Marketplace where companies will be able to showcase their products and services with fast and advanced search filters for easy navigation. Through this virtual event, exhibitors will be able to interact and connect with hundreds of decision makers from the mountain industry. In this context, Expo Andes manager Emily Aubert pointed out that “this new format allows us to remain connected amid the current travel restrictions. Through our platform, exhibitors will be able to interact from any device and place, it’s easy to use like a social network or email and most importantly it grants knowledge exchange and generates business opportunities.” Participants Expo Andes brings together all the actors who share mountain related challenges such as: Road protection, clearing and road management, clothing and equipment, avalanche control, rock fall protection, high-altitude construction, Ropeways, etc Visitors include professionals, business managers and institutions from more than 20 countries with activities or interests in mountains or similar environments. The private sector will include ski centers, mining companies, recreational parks, ropeways operators, schools and ski clubs, ski patrols, among others. While the public sector will include ministries and associated departments such as: Transport, Public Works, Tourism, Sports, Mining, National Goods, Environment, Mountain municipalities, border crossings, army and police, and much more. It should be noted that in all its versions, the exhibition has always had significant institutional support from the government. International Congress The new online edition will count with an International Congress with a program of conferences that will be broadcast live via streaming between November 2 and 5. The content of the seminars will also be available on-demand after the event. During the 4 days, the International Congress with simultaneous translation in English-Spanish will have 14 panels, more than 60 speakers, led by important public and private sector professionals, who will share their experiences to empower and enrich mountain work worldwide.
